    Billy Ayres
    HEAD OF TERRORISM

    Billy is Head of Terrorism at The Fidelis Partnership. Billy joined in January 2024 as a Senior Underwriter after having most recently spent time as an Underwriting Manager at CNA Hardy. Billy has over 7 years of experience within the Terror and PV market, and prior to Underwriting, he spent two and a half years in the risk and actuarial function at Brit insurance.

  • Samuel Poynder
    UNDERWRITER - TERROR

    Samuel is a Terrorism & Political Violence Underwriter at The Fidelis Partnership, having joined in September 2023. Previously, Sam was at CFC where he worked for six years most recently as a Terrorism and Political Violence Assistant Underwriter and before that as a cross-class Underwriting Assistant covering nine Specialty classes ranging from Transactional Liability and Intellectual Property to Kidnap & Ransom and Terrorism & Political Violence. He graduated from Lancaster University in 2017 with a Masters in Conflict, Security & Development with a focus on Counter Terrorism and has a BScEcon (Hons) in International Politics & Military History from Aberystwyth University.

  • Cathal Ruane
    ASSISTANT UNDERWRITER

    Cathal is an Assistant Underwriter at The Fidelis Partnership. Cathal joined Fidelis Insurance in 2022. Prior to joining Fidelis, Cathal worked in the renewals team at Arachas Corporate Brokers. Cathal holds an honours degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Limerick.

    ASSISTANT UNDERWRITER

    Conor is an Assistant Underwriter at The Fidelis Partnership. Conor joined Fidelis Insurance in 2022. Prior to Fidelis Insurance, he worked for Axis Capital as a control operations and DUA intern. Conor graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Insurance and Risk Management.

    Phoebe is an Underwriting Assistant at The Fidelis Partnership. Phoebe joined Fidelis Insurance in September 2022 as an Underwriting Assistant on the Crisis Management team. Phoebe graduated from The University of Manchester with BA Hons in Politics and Philosophy.
